Met Gala 2024: Doja Cat boldly dons massive wet T

Doja Cat is known for pushing the envelope as an artist and  Guram Gvasalia has been known for the same thing in the fashion world so it was only natural that the two join forces on fashion's biggest night.

The 28-year-old rapper - born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini - sported three just-got-out-of-the shower inspired looks on her way and at the star-studded Met Gala in New York City on Monday.

 The last of which was an oversized wet T-Shirt which showcased her enviable body.

She was joined on the red carpet with the creative director of Vetements and brother of Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia who is known for disrupting the fashion world and this latest look was no exception.

For the gala look the Balut hitmaker was soaked in water as she covered up her chest with her hands while posing.

The number obviously clung on to certain parts of her anatomy including her behind.

She showed off her signature buzzcut dyed platinum blonde while posing for the cameras. 

The Woman hitmaker definitely has an affinity for the dramatic as she sported shimmering black eye make-up which resembled mascara running down her face. 

Before strutting her stuff on the Met Gala red carpet she donned a towel around her body and head.

She sported what looked like a white towel mini dress wrapped around her body from the Swiss luxury fashion house and 'design collective.'

Her hair was wrapped into headwear that resembled a white towel matching her dress.

She accessorized with a large diamond-encrusted necklace and dangling gold earrings.

The last of her three looks was an oversized wet T-Shirt which showcased her enviable body

Guram looked fashionable in a baggy black suit featuring shimmering silver details.

Keeping up with the shower look Doja donned a different ensemble while leaving her hotel earlier in the evening.

She sported a clear poncho - which resembled a shower curtain and/or bouffant cap - over a nude catsuit.

No doubt many believed that would actually be her Met look but she changed it up in time for the star-studded affair. 

 The Costume Institute's spring exhibition falls on the first Monday in May every year and is held at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This year the event is titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion while the dress code is The Garden of Time.

Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are this year's co-chairs.  Also on the committee is Vogue's Anna Wintour.

The honorary chairs for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

'This year's co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements, and all have distinct style histories with the Met Gala,' Vogue shared.

The showcase will feature approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute's permanent collection - with many of the pieces too fragile to ever be worn again.

The pieces will all be displayed using elements such as AI, GCI, and more while playing up themes of land, sea, and sky. 

'It is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,' said Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, of the upcoming exhibition.

Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are set to put on edgy displays at the Met 

Last year's gala honored late designer Karl Lagerfeld - with Jared Leto dressing up as the Chanel icon's beloved cat Choupette (pictured)

'One thing I hope this show will activate is that sensorial appreciation of fashion.'

Guests expected to attend include the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Hailey Bieber, Sarah Jessica Parker and Timothee Chalamet. 

Gwendoline Christie, La La Anthony and Ashley Graham are hosting while YouTuber Emma Chamberlain is expected to interview stars on the red carpet. 

Last year's gala honored late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
